Prof. Dr. Sinem EROĞLU
Prof. Dr. N. Sinem Eroğlu was born in Istanbul in 1977. After graduating at the top of her class from Boğaziçi High School in 1994, she earned her medical degree from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English Program) in 2000. That same year, she began her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.
During her residency in 2005, she completed further training at Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson Clinics in Houston, Texas, USA. After officially becoming a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist in 2006, she fulfilled her mandatory medical service at Istanbul Paşabahçe State Hospital. In 2010, she successfully passed the chief residency examination and started working at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.
In 2010, she completed the Advanced Microsurgery Course at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. In 2011, she attended the Facial Plastic Surgery and Endoscopic Facelift course at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, as well as the Flap Reconstruction After Breast Cancer course at Duke University in the USA. That same year, she served as an observer physician focusing on Breast Reconstruction and Reconstructive Microsurgery at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow, Scotland.
In 2012, she successfully passed the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery examination, earning the prestigious title of EBOPRAS (Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery). She received the title of Associate Professor in 2014. Until 2021, she served as the Clinical Chief of the Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Department at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, where she contributed to the training and development of numerous plastic surgery specialists.
Her special areas of interest include Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery, Body Contouring, and Post-Bariatric Surgery. She has authored over 90 scientific studies and articles published in both national and international peer-reviewed journals.
